ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The alumni association of Sri Venkateswara Arts College for Men was established in 1970 by the alumni to foster camaraderie among them and to identify themselves with the Alma mater.

It was constituted with eminent educationist Prof. D. Adinarayana, Professor of Organic Chemistry & Special Officer, S. K. U. P. G. Centre, Kurnool formerly faculty of S. V. University, as its founder secretary. Sri M. Balarami Reddy, former syndicate member, S. V. University was its first member. About 5000 students have enrolled as the alumni till date.

At present Dr. K. Ranganatha Pillai, Reader & Head of the Department of Chemistry, is the Secretary and Sri L. R. Mohan Kumar Reddy, Senior Lecturer in History, is the Treasurer.

The objectives of the association are

v To keep and develop contacts among the old students of the college and generate in them greater love for their Alma mater.

v To assist the college in its academic and cultural activities by awarding prizes and scholarships to students of merit and using its reserve funds for the benefit of the students.

v To award proficiency cash prizes for two BA, two B.Com & two B. Sc students for their outstanding performance in the University Examinations.
