Protection and maintenance of Cow is the sacred duty of every Hindu. Mother cow symbolises peace and plenty. Sri Venkateswara Dairy Farm run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has made substantial contribution for proper maintenance and protection of cows. There are about 500 cows in the Dairy Farm. The milk produced is being supplied for regular rituals, abhishekams and prasadams in TTD run temples and the service institutions like S.V. Balamandir (Orphanage), S.V. Poor Home (Leprosy Home), S.V. Deaf & Dumb School Hostel, S.V.T.C.P.C. for the Handicapped, Hospitals etc.
The TTD has now launched `Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust' with a view to establish and maintain goshalas for preserving cows, calves and other bovine animals, to receive and maintain the bovine animals offered by the public and to distribute milch and draught cattle to the poor agricultural farmers and landless workers.
In this regard, Sri venkateswara Bhakti Prachara Peetham, Hyderabad intends to offer Rs. One Crore to 'Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust'. The trust will be inaugurated by Sri P. Chalapathi Rao, Chairman, TTD Trust Board in the august presence of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swami, Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham on September 22, 2002 at S.V. Dairy Farm, T.T.D's., Tirupati.
Special Privileges to the donors under the
four schemes as mentioned hereunder
1. KAMADHENU
Donation Rs. 5 Lakhs and above
Special Priveleges
- 10 Srivari Mahaprasadam packets - one time
- One gold covered medallion of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru - one time
- One pattu dupatta and one blouse piece every year
- Donors will be honoured on the ensuing Gokulastami Day during "Gopooja" celebration in S.V. Dairy Farm, Tirupati with Pattu Dupatta and Blouse piece (with advance intimation).
- Free Darsan will be provided for five persons through Vaikuntam cellar once in every year.
- Free accommodation to the donors and their family members (not exceeding five) in ARP counter area for 3 days or in VIP area subject to availability for 3 days on payment basis in each year.
- Prasadam - 10 Laddus free of cost every year.
- Five litres of cow's milk will be supplied for Swamivari Ksheerabhishekam in the name of the donor on one fixed Friday of their choice.
- Display of donor's name in Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana shala, TTD, Tirupati.
- These privileges and facilities will be extended only during the lifetime of the donor in case of individuals and 20 years in case of Joint Donors/Firms/ Companies.
2. KSHEERASAGARAM
Donation Rs. 1 Lakh and below 5 Lakhs
Special Priveleges
- Five Srivari Mahaprasadam packets
- Donors will be honoured on the ensuing Gokulastami Day during "Gopooja" celebration in S.V. Dairy Farm, Tirupati with Pattu Dupatta and Blouse piece (with advance intimation).
- Free Darsan will be provided one time through Vaikuntham Cellar for five persons.
- Display of Donor's name in Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Shala, TTD, Tirupati.
- One litre of Cow's milk will be supplied for Swamivari Ksheerabhishekam in the name of the donor on one fixed Friday of their choice.
3. BRINDAVAN
Donation Rs. 10,000 and below 1 Lakh
Special Priveleges
- Two packets of Srivari Mahaprasadam.
- One litre of cow's milk will be supplied for Swamivari Ksheerabhishekam in the name of the donor on one fixed Friday.
4. GOPALA
Donation Rs. 1,000 and below 10,000
Special Priveleges
- One packet of Srivari Mahaprasadam.
