Here
are answers to some of the most common queries of users
of this site:
How
is this site best viewed?
To make the most of your visit to
the TTD site, you'll need to be using a browser such
as Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 (or later) or Netscape
Navigator 4.0 (or later). However, this site is best
viewed using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 (or later).
You will also need to have access
to a reasonably quick Internet connection as this will
enable you to view the full version of the site, which
uses Java and JavaScript. A computer with 64 MB RAM
(or higher) with a sound card and speakers is needed.
To listen to sound files on this
site, you need to instal RealPlayer on your computer.
RealPlayer can be downloaded from the real.com website.
What
do I need to listen to a sound clip on this site?
All the files on this site
(except the self-playing sound clip on the home page)
are in Real Audio format, which means that the sound
files play as they download. This helps in reducing
your waiting time and phone bills.
To download
the latest free version of RealPlayer from the real.com
site, scroll to the bottom-right of the real.com homepage,
to a box titled 'Free Downloads' and download RealPlayer
8, by following the on-screen instructions. In the process,
the site will also mention the minimum system requirements
needed to instal RealPlayer.
After the download of RealPlayer,
you will be able to listen to the sound files on this
site.
At present, RealPlayers support
the following platforms:
Windows - 95/98/2000 and
Windows NT 4.0 Macintosh - Macintosh Power PC, OS 8.1,
OS 8.5 or higher UNIX - Solaris 2.6/2.7, Linux 2.0
If you cannot listen to the
sound files even after downloading RealPlayer, then
the best way to check is to play a local RealAudio (.rm
format) file on your machine. If RealPlayer does
play the sound file, then you should check and set right
the Multimedia settings in your browser.
