SVTCH is imparting training in „ various vocational trades to the disabled and most of the trained students have got employment in Govt/Quasi Govt / Public and Private Sector Organisations. After gaining rich experience in the service of disabled, TTD Trust Board in its Res.No. 736, Dt. 24-2-08 took a decision to start a new Polvtechnic for the Phvsically Challenged i.e., (upgradation of the existing institution SVTCH) with a budgetary outlay of Rs. 3.6 Crores for its establishment (including Recurring & Non Recurring expenditure). This Institution is first of its kind in the state of A.P catering to the educational needs of the Physically Challenged. The Institution is recognised by AICTE-New Delhi and affiliated to State Board of Technical Education and Training, Government of A.P, Hyderabad.

The Institution SVPPC commenced functioning from the academic year 2008-2009. An experienced and senior faculty member of SPW Polytechnic, Sri R. Bhaskar Reddy has been posted as Principal-in-Charge. The Institution is presently offering two Diploma courses to Physically Challenged:-

• Diploma is Computer Engineering (DCME) - (Intake capacity-45)
• Diploma in Computer and Commercial \ Practice (DCCP) - (Intake capacity-45)

TTD management is providing free education to the students of SVPPC and also meeting all the requisite facilities i.e., free accommodation, food, books, medical aid, utilities and all possible help during their education term as prescribed by State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Govt. A.P Hyderabad.

The newly started Polytechnic is temporarily accommodated in SPW Polytechnic premises and the infrastructure available in SPW Polytechnic is being utilised for SVPPC also. TTD has initiated proposals to construct new buildings and other required Labs for the newly started Polytechnic in a very planned and organized manner, with a view that the disabled can move freely to every nook and corner of the premises. It is totally a barrier free environment for the free mobility of disabled.

At present the services of the senior faculty members of SPW Polytechnic are being utilised for this Institution and steps are being taken by the TTD Management to recruit new qualified staff to this institution.

Admissions: Admissions into Diploma Courses will be conducted through CEEP (Common Entrance Examination for Polytechnics) conducted every year in the month of April/May by A.P.Govt. Left-over seats will be filled by spot admissions. For further details contact / write to :
