Sri Padmavathi Women’s Polytechnicwas started during International Women’s year i.e. in 1975 only for women candidates under the Management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati. The T.T.D. bears 50% of the expenditure incurred both Recurring and Non-Recurring and the remaining 50% will be sanctioned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad in the form of Grant-In-Aid. This polytechnic is affiliated to State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Government of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad and it is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. The polytechnic is located near S.V. Dairy Farm adjacent to Tirupati – Chittoor Highway and is about 5 KMS from Tirupati East Railway Station.This polytechnic offers Technical Education at Diploma Level in the following disciplines.

Admission into DECE & DCCP Courses are being made based on the ranks secured in CEEP Examination conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Traning, Govt., A.P. Hyderabad during the month of APRIL/MAY every year.
Admissions into DHMCT Course are being made on merit basis by inviting applications through notification in leading news papers at institution level.
Admissions into DPH Course are being made on merit basis obtaining the on line application and through web counseling by the Convenor, CTE, Hyderabad.
Left over seats if any will be filled up by spot admissions by the Principal. With the concurrence of CTE, Hyderabad.
The polytechnic campus spreading over an extent of 5 acres and building with a Built- up area of 6270 Sq.Mts.(Ground Floor and 1st Floor)

The S.P.W Polytechnic has well equipped Laboratories for all courses establish as per curriculum.
Computer Centre was established with sufficient and latest equipment.
A Spacious library is available with sufficient text book on various subjects.
This Polytechnic has an attached hostel providing accommodation to 350 students. Free boarding facilities are being provided to inmates by the TTD Management.
